About me

I am 40 , female and married with 2 young children. I am originally from Yorkshire and moved to Plymouth 11 years ago. I currently live in Peverell, not far from Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park and very close to Montpelier Primary School.

I am a qualified and practising Primary School teacher, I have been working part-time since having my children three years ago. I have experience of working in all stages of Primary Education but have spent the majority of time teaching in Key Stage 2, most recently in year 5/6. I understand what level of ability is desired for the end of KS2 SATS and transition into secondary school and use this when planning my primary tuition sessions. I am fully CRB checked.

"Don't get it"

As a teacher, I know that children do not always tell their teacher when they find work too hard, some children keep quiet and 'hide', while others use their friends to help them get by. But, I have worked closely with the tutors of pupils in my class to really bring out the best in their ability. Tutors are able to give children their undivided attention on a 1-to-1 basis and children feel comfortable to work at their own pace without the pressure of having others see them struggle.
